Our operational Team
Simon is a tech focused entrepreneur and investor with 30 years experience as a founder director in successful businesses. In 2008 he co-founded and was CTO of bigblu broadband PLC which grew to be the largest cross border alternative broadband provider outside North America. Bigblu listed on the London stock exchange in 2015 and subsequently went on to buy and integrate 22 competitor companies in 26 countries in 6 years. Having grown the business to 120,000 customers in 30 countries, the bulk of the business was sold to Eutelsat SA in 2020 for >£53m. Simon was a Board Owl member and passionate advocate of the business and its corporate mission before before being appointed CEO in January 2024.
Daniel has over 20 years’ experience of hard work. Well, it started as hard work and increasingly became passion and hobby, the more entrepreneurial his activities became. He has gained experience in the areas of music, technology, banking, non-profit, talent acquisition and consulting, and childcare. As the founder / co-founder of three companies, he has over 10 years’ corporate board experience, both as executive and non-executive. He has experienced first-hand the positive impact a well-curated, diverse advisory board can have on a business.
With a solid background in global strategic business and corporate development, Amalia brings extensive expertise and insight to her role. Amalia's expertise extends to sell-side M&A advisory, complementing her strategic insight, analytical prowess, and hands-on approach that have assisted various IT and FMCG clients in achieving their strategic growth objectives. Driven by a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence, Amalia is dedicated to driving growth and fostering strategic partnerships that propel Board Owl to new heights.
Alexandra, our proactive and problem-solving business manager, is responsible for overseeing various aspects of Board Owl's operations, finance, and marketing. Her ability to swiftly identify problems and devise effective solutions will be crucial to the company's success.
With her background in Business Administration and International Relations, Alexandra brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Board Owl. Her diverse professional background has equipped her with a deep understanding of how to navigate different markets and cultures, making her well-suited for any future endeavors the company may undertake.
Sophie’s strategic approach helps brands discover their purpose, clarify their message, and communicate with confidence. She brings those brands to life with authentic brand strategy, visual identity, messaging, language, and digital and print presence. She lives in Australia and works with clients worldwide.
Genevieve is an accomplished sales professional with a proven track record in recruitment, specialising in executive placements for board members. With a background in media advertising, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Board Owl as a Senior Account Manager. With a passion for connecting talented individuals with opportunities that align with their skills and ambitions, Genevieve is poised to make a significant impact in the executive recruitment space.
Michael is our IT guy and web specialist. With his background in business informatics he loves to be the interplay between technology, business, and society. Since 2010, he has been managing director of the web agency flink think GmbH and realises online strategies and online presences for SME businesses.

You can register either as an individual looking for board positions or as a company looking for board member in our section "Get started".
We accept payments via PayPal or credit card (through Stripe). These are both secure payment platforms.
For every match received per email, you will be able to access all details on our platform in your member log-in area and decide whether this opportunity is a good fit for you. We will share your data with the company only after you have given your consent.
In addition, at any time you can withdraw yourself from the application process should you not be convinced by the position.
For simplicity reasons, the interview process will be coordinated directly between the candidate and the company.
